Nassau oh Nassau

Let the fun begin!!!!!!!!!

Touched down in this colorful wonderland. Caribbean sounds echoing through the air, big bright smiles as far the eyes could see and an immediate sense joy.  My joy was heightened once my passport received it's very first stamp.  I was ready to enjoy the island.

My home away from home for the week was SuperClubs Breezes Resorts & Spa in Nassau, Bahamas. The service upon arrival was simply wonderful. As soon as we reached the premises my friend and I were referred to as Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks (too funny) and handed a freshly made Bahama mamas.. From there we were checked in swiftly and escorted to our room.  The room was designed with the common Caribbean flare of floral bedding and colorful wall art.  It was simple, nothing much to swoon over. We dropped our bags, did a quick room inspection and off to explore we went.

First stop was the beach.  Before Nassau, I had never seen such clean and clear turquoise waters. It was breathtaking. I stood at the edge of the beach where the water met the sand and smiled to myself. I strolled along Cable beach and to my left something caught my eye - a trapeze net. I consider myself the adventurous type so I was looking forward to trying that out. A few yards away I spotted a rock climbing wall.  A rush went through my body.  I was prepared to put body to the test.

Breezes Bahamas had so much to offer. They made sure the guests were involved in all of the action. Whether it was rock climbing, flying trapeze, beach volleyball, water skiing, sailing or participating in the various themed night shows. There was always something to do.

I can't talk about Breezes without giving a special shout out to the staff. In one word they were GREAT.  In two words they were SIMPLY AMAZING.  The bartenders always kept my glass full, the waiters and waitresses were extremely pleasant and the cooks kept my tummy happy. This place really left an impression on me.

Are you thinking of taking a short trip to the Caribbean? Definitely try the Bahamas.  It is so rich with culture, color, beautiful people, food (try the conch salad, conch fritters and conch burger),and so much more.  Take it from the person that switched her flight and paid extra cash just to stay an extra day.

Tip: Make nice with the locals (use good judgement). They will definitely make sure you enjoy your stay on their island.
